Full Job Description
iMultiply are excited to be working in partnership with an organisation in Edinburgh who are looking for an Assistant Finance Analyst to join the team on a Fixed Term Contract , for an initial period of 6 months, with the potential, for the right candidate, to become permanent.
Purpose of this role:
The Assistant Finance Analyst maximises client invoicing, ensuring consistent revenue and accurate client data through thorough reporting and checks on each case. The role fosters relationships between different parties, which is crucial, therefore exceptional communication skills are required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate client invoices and milestones within accounts, manage multi-currency invoicing, and issue credit notes. Review consultancy contracts for accuracy and ensure all details—tax waivers, PO numbers, addresses—are updated.
- Collaborate with the team on costings, assist with financial data, and develop user-friendly spreadsheets.
- Maintain accurate customer and supplier data in the system, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Facilitate payments, following contract specifications.
- Provide monthly reports on invoicing, margins, FX rates, and client payments to senior management.
- Analyse specific project details for invoicing and subcontractor payments as needed.
- Regularly review financial status with consultancy counterparts.
Important:
- The role requires effective workload prioritisation, identifying invoicing and tax waiver deadlines, planning around payment schedules, and proactively addressing risk areas with proposed solutions.
- The analyst will reconcile complex data, adapt to unique contract scenarios, and determine effective methods for reporting and client communication.
- Prioritisation based on contract value and client needs is key.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong understanding of complex contracts.
- Diligent, detail-oriented, and organised.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of stakeholders.
- Collaborative and solutions oriented.
- Background in accounting or qualified by experience would be desirable.
On Offer
Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 35 hours/week, with flexibility when needed. This position offers a competitive salary and will be a great step in your career.
