  • Construction Phase Plans: Support the preparation and review of Construction Phase Plans, ensuring they meet the requirements of CDM regulations.
  • Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS): Assist in the development and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements, tailored to specific construction projects.
  • CDM Projects: Work closely with Senior Health and Safety Consultants on CDM (Construction Design and Management) projects, providing administrative and technical support as needed.
  • Documentation: Assist in the creation and maintenance of Health and Safety documentation, including policies, check sheets, toolbox talks and monthly H&S newsletter.
  • Site Inspections: Participate in site inspections alongside Senior Consultants, learning to identify potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on current Health and Safety regulations and best practices, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent (working towards or willing to obtain).
  • Experience: Some experience in a Health and Safety role, ideally within the construction industry, is preferred but not essential.
  • Certifications: Working towards membership with IOSH or another relevant professional body is advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of H&S legislation and regulations and experience with SSIP accreditations such as Safecontractor, CHAS or Constructionline is preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing documentation and compliance records.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an ability to learn industry-specific software.
  • Time Management: Time management is essential to ensure the timely progression of accreditations
