Full Job Description

Anderson Knight is working in partnership with a business seeking to recruit an Assistant HR Adviser. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the core of our clients HR team, with plenty of training and development to build a strong career in Human Resources and gain valuable exposure in Employee Relations.


Role Overview

In this role, you will play an integral part in supporting the HR function, helping to maintain a fair, positive, and compliant workplace. Under the mentorship of senior HR staff, you will receive extensive training across the entire employee lifecycle, including management of ER casework, conflict resolution, and employment law compliance. We’re committed to developing your skills and knowledge, providing a clear path for career growth in HR and Employee Relations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload of ER cases such as disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance management, always with a focus on fair and empathetic outcomes.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees seeking information on policies, procedures, and employee rights, ensuring that they feel supported and heard.
  • Help ensure that all HR activities are compliant with employment law and company policies, participating in policy reviews and updates.
  • Maintain accurate records of ER cases and update HR systems, contributing to data analysis for continuous improvement.
  • Participate actively in regular training sessions covering ER best practices, employment law updates, and soft skills like conflict resolution and effective communication.

What We’re Looking For

  • HR Qualification
  • Prior experience in HR Assistant/Coordinator role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a natural ability to handle sensitive topics tactfully.
  • Ability to listen and understand employee concerns, maintain confidentiality, and approach issues with fairness and integrity.
  • Willingness to grow within the role and take advantage of the training and development provided.
  • Familiarity with HR software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel).
