Assistant Janitor based at East Wemyss Primary School, near Kirkcaldy covering all janitorial duties along with cleaning and school crossing patrols here and at Coaltown of Wemyss Primary School., Responding to emergency call-outs in accordance with established procedures, including attending at the location, contacting appropriate authorities, inspecting for damage and theft, effecting repair and where necessary, liaising with contractors / emergency services on site.
Have the ability to travel to other locations within the specified area of work as required - a current Driving Licence is desirable.
Carrying out prescribed procedures in the event of fire, flooding, accident, or damage including liaising with appropriate staff, contractors etc.

The Person

Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.

Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a Team.

You will be required to attend an Induction Training Day before starting in post.
