Full Job Description

We are currently looking for Assistant Procurement Manager to support growth across our Infrastructure and Transportation programmes. Upon joining the business, you will support senior colleagues across various projects and could have a range of different procurement activities to complete each day. It includes but not limited to preparing bid tendering document. Your purpose:

  • Support the sourcing, bid evaluation, selection, negotiation procurement and delivery of goods and services.
  • Assist with the evaluation criteria, selection, negotiation, participate in presenting the recommendation to award, after approval the execution of purchase orders and contracts.
  • Responsible for the collection of vendors furnished information, vendor costing information, and schedules and other reports as required.Provide support in managing supplier relationships.
  • Managing day to day contract activities, monitoring of suppliers' performance such that supplier milestones and deliverable items are achieved in accordance with the design and build contracts and subcontracts, maintain oversight of suppliers' progress compared to budget.
  • Management of invoices, ensuring that contract deliverables and progress payment milestones have been achieved and approved prior to payment.
  • Liaising with different stakeholders such as Suppliers and Technical Leads/Project Managers in respect to materials and services to ensure technical requirements, schedules and cost targets are fully achieved. Act as liaison between Planning, Estimating and Cost Control to support development of schedules and cost model estimates.
  • Perform evaluations of potential suppliers including researching historical performance and financial strength, continuation of positive vendor relationships.
  • Apart from this, you could get involved with the win-work team, where you would be supporting on winning work for the business and this could include doing research, writing up proposals and drafting fee proposals.

  • Degree qualified - desirably within a procurement, supply chain, engineering, construction, or business-related field.
  • Ability to take personal responsibility in dealing with clients and stakeholders while striving to exceed their expectations.
  • Ability to manage personal workload.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to identify and use various methods of communications to engage, listen, deliver, present, and understand business challenges at different levels both effective written and verbal forms of communications.
  • Good analytical skills with a commercial focus. Strong desire to learn and develop new skills.
  • Interest in achieving MCIPS. Ability to work collaboratively with other colleagues, consultants, and contractors.
