Full Job Description

A prestigious housebuilder known for their commitment to quality, innovation, and delivering exceptional homes across Scotland are looking to welcome an experienced Assistant Site Manager to their team. 


This role is for a development of new detached and semi detached homes in Wallyford.

The opportunity to be trained and developed towards promotion to Site Manager is huge as this housebuilder have land secured and growth guaranteed.


Role Overview: As an Assistant Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Site Manager to ensure the smooth operation of construction activities on-site. You will be responsible for managing daily site operations, ensuring high standards of health and safety, quality control, and helping to deliver projects on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Site Manager in overseeing daily site operations, ensuring that construction work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Monitor site safety, ensuring all activities comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Liaise with the Site Manager, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any on-site issues.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of site activities, progress, and any issues encountered.
  • Support the delivery of homes that meet the company’s high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the residential construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, health and safety regulations, and NHBC quality control standards.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A valid CSCS card and SMSTS/SSSTS certification are desirable.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality homes and outstanding customer service.
