Award-winning Housebuilder based who are going through a period of expansion and currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Assistant Site Manager to join them – either on a permanent or freelance basis.


You will become a key member of the site management team delivering a new build housing development in West Lothian, breaking ground this winter. The successful Assistant Site Manager will come from either a trade or academic background.


The role is to aid the Site Manager and Construction Manager in directing the development of the site through to completion, ensuring that Programme, Quality and Cost targets are achieved in accordance with the build programme, through the effective management of the Site team and subcontractors.



Responsibilities


·       Support the Site Manager in coordinating trades, direct labour, and materials to meet the production programme.

·       Accept responsibility for such duties and responsibilities as the Site Manager may determine; in particular, as and when required, deputise for the Site Manager

·       Support the Site Manager, in ensuring that the on-site Construction team is fully resourced and well-directed, with clear guidelines to their own job responsibilities, and are provided with full support in achieving these, in terms of communication, training and development, and the organisation of the site’s workload and resources.



Requirements


·       Demonstrable experience of operating at Assistant Site Manager level for a reputable housebuilder (3 years+).

·       Assertive to ensure delivery of targets by the on-site team and trades/labour.

·       Ability to prioritise tasks to meet changing business needs.

·       knowledge of all aspects of the construction trade and the relevant legislative requirements e.g., Health and Safety

·       Understanding and experience of dealing with all issues relating to Customer Service
