An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for an Assistant Supervisor to join our Parks Service on a fixed-term basis for a period of up to 2 years.

NRS brings together a diverse range of Glasgow City Council operational, technical and development services that focus on sustainable transport, place making and delivering essential city services.

Position Details

Reporting to the Supervisor/Depot Manager, you will assist with the supervision of frontline Parks Operations within a designated geographical area. 

You must be able to motivate a team, prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and be able to demonstrate the ability to find solutions to problems effecting frontline service delivery.

Good communication skills, IT skills and a current driving licence are essential. You must also already possess or be willing to work towards obtaining First Aid certification.  

A formal qualification to SVQ level 3 in an area appropriate to the post is desirable as is previous supervisor experience and risk assessment training.

Contract Details

Weekly Hours: 35 hours + 2 hours non-standard working

Work Pattern: 4 on / 4 off work pattern, including weekend working.

Annual Salary: £28,529.79 - £32,363.72 on an incremental scale

Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attracts a non-standard work pattern/hours (NSWPH) payment of £2,018 plus a working context & demand (WCD) payment of £1,088 per annum.
