Post Title: Assistant Technician/Technician/Senior Technician (Asset Management)
Location: Inverness
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £27,554 - £41,714 p.a.(see details below)

  • Assistant Technician (HNC, working towards EngTech), starting salary HC05 £27,554.- £30,175 p.a. OR
  • Technician (HNC and/ or EngTech plus 5 years experience), starting salary HC06 £30.266 - £33,579 p.a. OR
  • Senior Technician (EngTech plus 7 years experience), starting salary HC07 £34,034 - £38,056 p.a. OR
  • Senior Technician (EngTech plus 12 years experience), starting salary HC08 £38,474 - £41,714 p.a.

Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose:

  • To assist in the redesign of the Service.
  • To create sustainable and achievable processes for the Roads Service, covering all aspects, including Road Construction Consent.
  • Assist in implementing changes relating to policies, procedures, processes and software.
  • To assist in producing a strategy for the management of the Highland Council’s adopted road network.

Requirements

HNC/ HND/ Degree in a Civil or Structural Engineering related course

Working towards (Assistant level) or gained (Technician/ Senior Technician level)

Professional qualification at IEng (ICE) or equivalent.

Valid driving licence. You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
