Assistant Treasury Accountant

Iconic Resourcing Accountancy & Finance Division are delighted to be supporting a hugely successful legal firm as they seek an experienced candidate for a newly created position of Assistant Treasury Accountant within either their Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen site, on a full-time, permanent & hybrid working model (1 day per week in office required).

In this key role, you will be responsible for authorising daily bank transfers, managing client deposit reviews, and calculating late payment interest. Additionally, you will provide crucial support to the Treasury Accountant, assisting with the coordination of partner capital requirements, tax payments, and overseeing adjustments to financial reserves and drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Authorise and oversee daily bank transfers, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Conduct thorough reviews and maintenance of client deposit accounts
• Perform timely calculations of late payment interest
• Support the Treasury Accountant in managing partner capital arrangements, tax obligations, and reserve adjustments
• Assist in the organisation and tracking of drawing changes

Candidate Requirements:

• Extensive experience in a high-volume payment processing role, with strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
• Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive financial information
