The Scottish National Investment Bank is seeking an Associate to join our Impact Assessment and Reporting team, a cornerstone of our mission to drive positive social, economic, and environmental outcomes for Scotland.
As part of the Bank’s strategic impact team, you will contribute to assessing, reporting, and communicating the impact of our investments. This role involves working across a diverse portfolio of projects, developing innovative methodologies, and engaging with key stakeholders to deliver high-quality, transparent, and compelling impact data and insights.
We encourage all candidates who believe they can excel in this role to apply, even if you do not tick all the boxes. We value diverse experiences and perspectives, and your unique background could be a great addition to our team. We thrive on collaboration, support flexible working, and aim to build a fairer, more sustainable, and innovative Scotland.
About You
· Expertise in impact assessment, social or economic analysis, or related fields, with a proven ability to deliver measurable outcomes across various sectors.
· Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with experience using tools to visualise and communicate complex data effectively.
· A track record of managing large-scale, cross-disciplinary projects and aligning them with organisational goals.
· Experience in developing and implementing impact assessment frameworks and/or reporting processes.
· The ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders, including policymakers, senior leaders, and external experts.
· Knowledge of the ESG or impact reporting landscape and the Scottish economic and social context is desirable.
· A qualification in Economics, Social Science, Environment, Business, Marketing, Communications, or Public Policy is advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
· Deliver assessments and reports on the Bank’s mission impact across diverse investment areas, ensuring alignment with our goals for social, economic, and environmental sustainability.
· Lead large-scale impact assessment projects, developing robust reporting frameworks and methodologies.
· Drive innovation in impact reporting processes, adopting best practices and new tools.
· Collaborate across teams to integrate impact considerations into projects from inception to completion.
· Manage annual impact reporting processes, ensuring accurate, timely delivery.
· Engage with stakeholders to promote the Bank’s impact outcomes and maintain relationships with external experts and industry leaders.
At the Scottish National Investment Bank, you will find a supportive culture that values your expertise and autonomy, encourages continuous learning, and offers opportunities for meaningful work. On offer is a salary range of £51-59k, depending on your level of experience. In addition, we offer 30 days annual leave plus public holidays; a 12% non-contributory pension and access to our EV Salary Sacrifice and Green Commute Cycle to Work Schemes, volunteer days and much more. We operate a hybrid working model and are very open to discussing flexible working patterns.
If you are eligible under the Disability Confident Scheme, or need any adjustments to support your application, such as information in alternative formats or special requirements to access our buildings, please reach out to us. Our commitment is to provide the support you need to participate fully in our recruitment process.
