A very successful, local and modern Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Engineering Consultancy search for an Associate (Mechanical) to join their growing business in either their Glasgow or Edinburgh office. This business have an excellent reputation for successful delivery of all forms of projects across the construction and real estate spheres. This organisation have gone from strength to strength due to their technical expertise and fresh approach, experiencing rapid growth in recent years and now operating with multiple offices. he environment is fast paced and the services on offer range from detailed design, TTD, dilapidations, decarb studies, technical advisory work and more. Sectors include MoD, Healthcare, Commercial, Residential and Education.

Role

• You will lead the mechanical operations of the business, mainly from a project and people perspective but there is the opportunity to get involved in BD etc.
• Ensuring an understanding of project briefs.
• Leading and delivering the mechanical aspect of projects from concept to completion working under industry standards and regulations.
• Providing technical guidance and expertise, supervision and mentoring of junior staff.
• Representing the organisation at meetings with clients and contractors.
• Site surveys, inspections and monitoring of site works.
• Maintaining complete records and archives to company standards.
• Adherence to all quality, environmental and governance processes

Qualfiications / Experience

• Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or related subjects.
• Chartered Engineer with CIBSE or IET.Proficient in energy reduction methods and approaches to decarbonising new and existing buildings.
• Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools such as AutoCAD, Excel, IES, Revit is beneficial
• Experience working in a design consultancy and/or experience of working within a contractor design environment is essential.
• Have a detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards.
• Excellent communication skills and client facing ability.
• Demonstrated experience of successfully project delivery.
• Proven leadership skillls
• Ability to work well under pressure
