Permanent, Full Time 

35 hours per week

Salary: £45,000 - £48,192


Air Service Training (Engineering)Limited, more commonly referred to as AST, has been providing aeronautical engineering training to the world’s Airlines, Maintenance Organisations and Military formations for over 90 years, in which time it has developed a reputation for innovative, effective, and high-quality training strategies to meet industry needs.

AST is an EASA and UK CAA Part 147 Approved Training Organisation able to offer courses and examinations to meet the requirements of the Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence in most sub-categories of the Category A & B group, which includes Piston and Turbine Aeroplanes, Turbine Helicopters and Avionics. 

AST is seeking to recruit an Examinations Manager to join the AST management team to support the development and delivery of EASA and UK CAA Part 66 Training to the Next Generation of Aviation Professionals. 

Examinations are conducted at Perth and a wide range of locations both within the UK and globally. The ability to travel both within the UK and overseas is essential to this position. 

The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of all aspects of AST examinations ranging from the preparation of examination papers to the compliant delivery of examinations and the subsequent marking and compilation of required records. 

In addition, The Examination Manager is also responsible for the management and oversight of examination procedures at all AST examination venues, ensuring ongoing compliance and the highest standard of professional delivery to support customer requirements.

Applications are invited from those with previous experience in an EASA / UK CAA Part 147 training organisation, and whilst experience of the creation, delivery and control of Part 147 examinations is not essential, it is desirable.
