AV Technician

Morgan Hunt are currently working with a Higher Education organisation in Glasgow who require an AV Technician to support and maintain installed audio-visual learning technologies, as part of the Audio-Visual Services (AV Services) team, ensuring the student learning experience is uninterrupted and uncompromised

Role Responsibilities

• Support and maintain audio-visual equipment in centrally allocated learning spaces
• Coordinate with external suppliers and AV contractors, and specialist teams within information services such as the network infrastructure team to plan and facilitate the integration of AV equipment, such as networked AV, control systems, projection, switching, infrastructure etc, in new and existing systems
• Co-ordinate team members in the installation and/or replacement of fully installed and integrated AV systems and/or their component parts

Role Requirements

• Ability to deal with a broad spectrum of users teaching space equipment who possess a variable range of technical knowledge in a clear and supportive manner.
• Experience of carrying out integrated AV system installations
• Substantial operational and technical knowledge of relevant integrated AV systems including the installation, maintenance, and support of networked integrated AV equipment.
• An understanding of the operation and topology of networked AV systems within installed environments.
• Experience in liaising with external stakeholders including AV contractors.
