- Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost-effectiveness, performance, and security.
- Utilize Microsoft Defender for Cloud and other security tools to assess and enhance the security posture of the environment.
- Implement and maintain resiliency strategies to meet business continuity and disaster recovery requirements.
- Manage Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) to support Identity and Access Management (IAM) requirements.
- Automate cloud infrastructure processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform preferred, Bicep also considered) and CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to support cloud-based applications.
- Support and train other team members
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and provide technical support for cloud environments.
We're looking for people who are ready for a fast paced environment, get their kicks out of problem solving and can balance getting today's stuff done, whilst building for the future. We're looking for people with drive and natural curiosity - who want to do things differently. And do them brilliantly. - Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer or in a similar cloud-focused role.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Entra ID, Networking, Storage, and Security.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, with a strong preference for Terraform (Bicep also considered).
- Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies and experience implementing CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of networking concepts such as VNETs, VPNs, Firewalls, Load Balancers, and DNS.
- Experience with Azure monitoring and logging tools, including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Experience in modernising Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platforms to improve efficiency and performance. Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills
- Azure certifications, such as AZ-104 (Microsoft Azure Administrator) and AZ-305 (Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions).
- Experience managing and optimizing Azure cost structures.
- Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with additional monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
