Band 4 QC Scientist

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we have an exceptional opportunity for a Band 4 QC Scientist at our Perth, Scotland site. As part of our SDG/Microbiology division, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.
Responsibilities:
Perform microbiological testing in accordance with ISO 17025 & 13485/9001 Quality Management Systems and Quality Policies.Enter test results accurately into the SAP quality system.Report any non-conforming results to the QC Team Leader or Quality Manager.Follow defined laboratory procedures accurately, adhering to UKAS and other regulatory requirements.Once training is complete, authorize results and release passed batches.Sample, test, and report on the quality control testing of plated and bottled samples in a timely and accurate manner.

Environmental ConditionsAdherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Minimum BSc in Microbiology or a related subject.At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory environment.Knowledge of ISO 17025 testing procedures.Proficiency in aseptic technique and basic pipetting techniques.Experience with contamination checks, pH, conductivity, membrane filtration, and media fertility testing.
