Full Job Description

Eden Scott's client is seeking a dynamic and highly organised Banking Manager Assistant to support their banking operations in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of banking procedures. You will work closely with the banking manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and assisting with account management.
  • Assist in the implementation of banking policies and procedures.
  • Monitor branch operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence for the banking manager.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and customer interactions.
  • Coordinate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Process cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
  • Verify the accuracy of transactions and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Assist customers with account openings, loan applications, and other banking services.
  • Handle customer complaints and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document management.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence for the banking manager.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and customer interactions.
  • Coordinate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Promote banking products and services to customers.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell products based on customer needs.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve branch targets.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in financial services or banking , business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in banking or financial services is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
