We have a unique and exciting opportunity to join our Revenues services team in a permanent role as our benefits team Leader.

As our benefit team leader you will oversee a team of around 8 staff to deliver Housing benefit, Council Tax reduction, discretionary Housing payments and the Scottish Welfare fund service.

We’re looking for someone who is highly motivated, well organised and outcome driven. We need someone who has in depth knowledge of Housing benefit and Council Tax reduction, and who has experience in supervising staff and the delegation work.

The ideal candidate must have good communication skills, have a flexible attitude, be open to change and have the ability to remain clam under pressure.

Ideally the successful post holder will also have An IRRV qualification or a supervisory / managerial qualification.

Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.
