Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Content Database Manager to join our Bid Team! As Bid Content Database Manager you'll be part of the Insurance, Pensions and Investment (IP&I) Bid Team within Scottish Widows Distribution Development & Performance. Our aim is to become the best Bid Team in the Financial Services marketplace! You'll be joining the Bid Team which is a fast paced, deadline driven team who are responsible for building and responding to questionnaires, Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposals (RFP) and Beauty Parade pitches for both retention/new workplace pension business and assist with general new business enquires. The key accountabilities include

  • Management and maintenance of the Qvidian database to ensure all content is up to date, of a high quality, technically compliant and searchable for the Bid Team
  • Facilitate the identification and creation of new knowledge or update existing knowledge to ensure it remains relevant
  • Establish procedures, processes, standard methodologies and recommendations for the use of the knowledge repositories including expired content
  • Management of Client Testimonials and Case Studies
  • Working in close cooperation with the distribution sales teams, proposition managers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure proposal input is well-written, accurate, balanced, persuasive and timely
  • Conduct post RFP/Pitch technical reviews to ensure content used is current and up to date and to gather new and updated material to add to the database.

    Experienced in database management with a working knowledge of Qvidian system or other proposal management software.
  • Familiarity with protection, pension and investment products and experience of working within a Bid Team environment
  • Awareness of Bid Management principles and particularly how to create compelling and persuasive bid content.
  • Excellent written, spoken, and presentation skills with ability to problem solve, make decisions and prioritise workload
  • Have the skills to build relationships, network, and build contacts across the organisation through being approachable and empathetic
  • And any experience of these would be really useful
  • APMP qualified to Foundation level or willingness to work towards
