Full Job Description

As a Business Development Manager, you will have the opportunity to take charge of breaking into new markets, building relationships with our clients and partners and marketing exciting new products. You'll be a key player in our growing commercial team, driving the success and development of our company. Some of your daily tasks will include:

  • Identify and develop business opportunities
  • Evaluate market trends and oversee market research activities to inform business decision making
  • Develop and execute the company's commercial strategy, working closely with the Head of Commercial
  • Develop bidding strategies that are creative, meet client requirement and maximise company profitability
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team of commercial managers, setting targets and monitoring performance while providing guidance and feedback to support their professional development

  • Degree in Economics or a related field, and a solid grasp of microeconomic, macroeconomic, and econometric theory
  • Experience in a commercial management role, preferably in a consulting, research, or data analysis firm
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience managing budgets, setting targets, and monitoring performance
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate market trends and inform decision making
  • Desirable skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with record in developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a focus on team building and professional development
  • Experience working in social research or data analysis fields is a plus
  • Experience working with EU market procurement is a plus
