Rae McCabe Associates is delighted to be working in partnership with this leading Scottish law firm in the recruitment of a Billing Officer.

Sitting within the finance team, the purpose of this role is to lead and coordinate billing for a set of clients.

We are interested in speaking to individuals from a similar billing background with methodical working methods and advanced Excel skills. Experience of working within a legal or professional services environment is a bonus.

Responsibilities:

·      Setting up and maintaining client billing protocols and procedures

·      Liaising with partners, fee earners and clients

·      Preparing billing proposals

·      Processing month end billing including complex month end fees for own portfolio of clients

·      Creating and maintaining time rates for clients/matters

·      Processing invoices on client on-line billing systems

·      Preparing client reports on a monthly and quarterly basis

·      Maintaining 3e user profiles

·      Maintaining Purchases Orders for clients

·      Analysing Fees, WIP and Billing Statements

·      Reviewing Outlays and Client Accounts

·      Ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations, processes & procedures

·      Undertaking project work as requested

Your background:

·      Relevant financial experience

·      Advanced Excel

·      Experience of interpreting financial information

·      Experience of a legal accounting system would be an advantage

·      Excellent administrative and organisational skills

·      Ability to communicate with colleagues and management in a professional manner is essential

·      Experience of Elite 3e systems would be an advantage but not essential
