Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Board Excellence in Care Clinical Lead at University Hospital Crosshouse. What you will do: You will be responsible for leading focus on Excellence in Care and Practice Development NHS Ayrshire and Arran. You will be required to have strong interpersonal skills and regularly demonstrate their proven ability to communicate highly complex, sensitive and often contentious information effectively. You will provide a key link between the local delivery of the programmes, the NHS Board, and national reporting: You are expected to be an expert in your own field and use own judgement to independently advise, guide and support others at every clinical level in clinical, management and leadership areas. This will often involve issues of a highly complex nature with information and data coming from different sources and at times be conflicting in nature. This will require the application of improvement science knowledge and often technical clinical knowledge in situations where solutions need to be developed. You will work with the Scottish Government, National Services Scotland, Healthcare Improvement Scotland, NHS Education for Scotland and Chief Nurse for Professional Development along with the Excellence in Care local and national teams to support the implementation of Excellence in Care.

  • Registered professional qualification with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • Educated to masters degree level or equivalent
  • Educated in quality improvement at post graduate level
  • Demonstrable evidence of CPD
  • Significant post-registration experience
  • Evidence of demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to facilitate these in others
  • Experience of influencing at a strategic level
  • Ability to develop benchmarking, evaluation and clinical audit programmes for health services, Please note, for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
