Boatmaster / Skipper

As a Boat Master / Skipper, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll have the opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team at Loch Goil Acoustic Range supporting primarily the Royal Navy (RN). Loch Goil ranges are LTPA sites on the West Coast of Scotland. Ranges comprise of two sites, Loch Goil and a campaigned site on Loch Fyne. Along with two other UK acoustic ranges, they contribute to operational signature measurements of the RN fleet.

Day-to-day, you will:

• Operate the Loch Goil workboat and hired vessels in a confined operational area


• Operate small boats both day and night time operations


• Utilise the site Fork Lift Truck


• Work and Interact with Royal Navy vessels, surface and submarines


• Operate a Crane


• Drive and Tow trailers


This role is a full-time position based at Lochgoilhead site 5 days a week.

Essential experience of the Boat Master / Skipper:

• You must have experience as a skipper


Qualifications for the Boat Master / Skipper:

• MCA Qualified Boat Master or equivalent RYA with commercial endorsements
