The opportunity has arisen to join a highly successful Accountancy Firm based in Edinburgh as a Bookkeeper.

The Company

A small, well known Accountancy Firm based in Edinburgh city centre. The Firm has a fun and inclusive culture with many of the team having worked there for a long period of time.

The Role

A varied role encompassing bookkeeping, VAT compliance and cloud accounting, specifically around Xero. The role can be on a full time or part time basis.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

·      Manage client bookkeeping and prepare VAT returns for a range of clients.

·      Organize and maintain client records, utilizing Xero add-ons like Dext and other integrations.

·      Conduct quality control on tasks, using and updating checklists while seeking improvements aligned with firm goals.

·      Ensure accurate VAT coding and bookkeeping allocations to ensure clients pay the correct VAT amounts.

·      Stay informed about VAT rules across different industries (training on specific details will be provided).

·      Possess strong Xero expertise (experience with FreeAgent and QuickBooks is advantageous).

·      Respond to client queries and follow up on outstanding issues, acting as the primary contact for certain clients.

·      Assist in delivering Xero training to clients and help set up Xero systems for new clients.

On Offer

The position of Bookkeeper will offer a salary of £30,000 - £35,000.
