Murray Recruitment are recruiting a Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper for our client based in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation in a permanent full-time, office-based role, providing essential bookkeeping and finance support.

Reporting to the Director and with the Finance Manager going on maternity leave at the end of March, this role will be part of a small finance team, with additional support from an on-site accountant every Thursday. Full training will be provided on the in-house system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping, including processing invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
• Assisting with month-end and year-end financial reporting.
• Processing payroll, expenses, and VAT returns.
• Supporting the preparation of financial reports and liaising with the on-site accountant.
• Handling supplier and customer queries in a timely manner.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a finance or bookkeeping role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• AAT qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous but not essential.

• Salary up to £32,000 per annum.
