We pride ourselves on delivering accurate, efficient, and personalised accounting services. Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team.
Role Overview:
As a Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in managing our clients' financial records and ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately and on time. You will be responsible for maintaining day-to-day financial operations and supporting the wider accounting team with various tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process day-to-day financial transactions, including invoicing, payroll, and expenses
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks)
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all accounts are balanced
- Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time
- Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports
- Liaise with clients to resolve any financial queries or discrepancies
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Support the preparation of year-end accounting and audits as needed
- Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with relevant financial regulations
Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience working in a fast-moving accountancy environment
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
- Highly proficient in the use of Xero (advanced knowledge is essential)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with clients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in preparing and submitting VAT returns is essential
