About Us:

We pride ourselves on delivering accurate, efficient, and personalised accounting services. Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team.


Role Overview:

As a Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in managing our clients' financial records and ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately and on time. You will be responsible for maintaining day-to-day financial operations and supporting the wider accounting team with various tasks.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process day-to-day financial transactions, including invoicing, payroll, and expenses
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks)
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure all accounts are balanced
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time
  • Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports
  • Liaise with clients to resolve any financial queries or discrepancies
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Support the preparation of year-end accounting and audits as needed
  • Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with relevant financial regulations

Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience working in a fast-moving accountancy environment
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
  • Highly proficient in the use of Xero (advanced knowledge is essential)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with clients
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in preparing and submitting VAT returns is essential
