Full Job Description

As well as supporting the Group's wider objectives, some of the work will involve negotiating and working with others both in your Directorate and outside of it. You will be working with colleagues to promote and raise awareness of the Procurement Directorate role and responsibilities. You will provide initial point of contact for the team giving advice and guidance. You will also maintain accurate records for the team; including paper, electronic systems and all databases. You will be continually learning about the profession while developing the skills required to progress. You will also be given the opportunity to make your mark and will be encouraged and supported to introduce new ideas and ways of making things better.

  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English at Level 4/Grade C or above
  • Genuine enthusiasm and a strong desire to build a career in the profession
  • Organisational skills with a methodical approach, alongside confident ICT abilities
  • A natural problem-solver who is intuitive and passionate about personal growth, eager to learn, and continuously develop
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal, who can engage confidently with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Team-player, happy to work as part of a busy team in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused and productive while working from home
  • While this role is home based, you should have the ability to travel to Group offices and other locations for meetings as required. Our Group offices are in Birmingham Business Park, Solihull and Central Park, Worcester., We are looking for someone who has the necessary drive, enthusiasm and curious mind to support our growth. You will join a growing team and to be successful in this role you need to be a natural team player and collaborator. The ability to adapt and be flexible is critical. You must also be a confident communicator with the skills to deal with both internal and external stakeholders. For your apprenticeship you will study toward the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship qualification where you will attend 1-1/group taught training modules with a personal advisor alongside continuous on the job learning within your role.
