Location: Glasgow (Fully Field and Home-based with Laptop, Phone, and Mileage Costs Included)

Are you a proactive problem-solver with a passion for logistics? Join our dynamic team as a Freight Business Development Coordinator and play a crucial role in delivering top-notch logistics solutions to our clients.

What We Offer:
Competitive Salary: 32,000 - 40,000 basic
Car Allowance: 300 per month
Uncapped Bonus: Paid monthly, with high performers earning over 5,000+ per month in bonuses

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the freight industry to expand our client base
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape
Proposal Preparation: Prepare and present compelling proposals and quotations to prospective clients
Networking: Attend industry events and networking opportunities to promote our services and generate leads
Customer Service: Handle incoming calls and emails, providing first-class logistics service
Logistics Coordination: Plan and organise effective freight routes and transportation solutions
Tracking & Reporting: Monitor freight movement using bespoke software and keep clients updated
Training: Educate clients on the use of our internal and external software solutions

Target Industries:

Biology, Tourism, Financial Services, Space, Textile, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Energy, Engineering, Ship Building, and FMCG

Essential Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in business development within the freight or logistics industry
Strong understanding of freight operations and logistics solutions
Excellent sales and negotiation skills
Ability to build and maintain client relationships
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Excellent multi-tasking and prioritisation skills
Attention to detail and organisational efficiency
Friendly, enthusiastic, and a team player
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Self-motivated with a proactive approach
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365

Desirable Skills & Experience:

Knowledge of the shipping/logistics industry
Previous experience in helpdesk support or sales in a customer-facing environment
