Business Development Manager

We have an exciting opportunity to join our sales and events team, to build our business and represent Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels as the leading option in Scotland for meetings, events, conferences, incentives, team building and celebrations. As the Business Development Manager, you will be the driving force behind our Proactive sales activity and will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our business across our properties within Crieff, Peebles, the West Coast and Aberfeldy.

We're looking for a dynamic, outgoing and knowledgeable candidate with creative energy and innovative ideas - we want someone who'll be able to represent the family of hotels and leisure pursuits to the wider hospitality industry. You'll have a strong background in sales and business development with an impressive track record in developing connections, building relationships and data base/account management. You should be excited by growth and opportunity, always looking for 'the next big thing', passionate about possibilities and have outstanding people skills - we're looking for someone who can build strong and long-lasting relationships with clients, partners and our internal stakeholders. You'll be out on the road sharing your knowledge of the properties, visiting clients and attending tradeshows and exhibitions to represent the family; therefore the role is available on a hybrid basis with a minimum of one day at Crieff each week and other sites as required. What We Need From You

• Experience of working independently to drive business and increase conversion.
• Commercial awareness of the hospitality industry with knowledge of market trends and some understanding of competitor analysis.
• Strong experience of developing event business through proactive sales activity.
• A high level of organisational skills and planning capability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
• A strong customer focussed approach to business.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• The resilience to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
