Full Job Description

We are currently seeking an Account Executive to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a Business Development Manager at ICON, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving business growth, and contributing to the success of our organization. Your responsibilities will include developing and managing key client relationships, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest quality proposals, and developing strategies to improve sales. This role is an integral part of our ICON Government Public Health Solutions, and your contributions will be crucial to our continued success. What You Will Be Doing:

  • Leverage deep market knowledge to attract clients within Government and Public Health target markets.
  • Conduct thorough research, pursue leads, and convert prospects into awarded contracts.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with Government, Commercial, and Global Health Sector clients.
  • Drive the marketing of ICON GPHS services by maintaining and expanding customer relationships.
  • Consistently meet or exceed annual new business sales targets through successful deal closures.
  • Identify, qualify, track, and pursue new business opportunities while monitoring competitors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to devise effective business capture strategies and support proposal development.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings to promote business opportunities and engage clients.
  • Maintain accurate data in ICON GPHS's CRM system, prepare reports, and contribute to marketing efforts.

    In-depth knowledge of Phases I-IV clinical development and contract research organization services, as well as scientific or technical services.
  • Experience successful business development experience.
  • Preferred background within the Federal government, particularly in medical research and life sciences Agencies.
  • Proven track record of new business capture, proposal development, and strategy development for Federal Government and global public health sectors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead discussions with diverse subject matter experts and decision-makers.
  • Competency in Salesforce or similar customer relationship management solutions.
