We are seeking a talented and motivated Sales Professional to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview: The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and expanding our customer base within the hospitality sector throughout Scotland. This position requires a combination of sales expertise, marketing knowledge, and strong interpersonal skills to effectively promote our products and build lasting customer relationships. They will have a deep understanding of the food industry and will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales and marketing plans.
Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and target potential customers, including restaurants, hotels, cafes, caterers, and other food service businesses.
- Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, lead generation, and cold calling.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales strategies and achieve sales targets.
- Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, and negotiations to close deals.
- Provide exceptional customer service to existing clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing personalised service.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including operations, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular customer visits, attend meetings, and participate in industry networking events to foster and strengthen business relationships.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales and marketing within the food industry, preferably in food wholesale or distribution.
- Strong knowledge of food products, industry trends, and competitor landscape.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets and drive business growth.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and digital marketing tools.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
