Full Job Description

Are you a customer focused business administration professional? Would you like to work with senior leaders, providing support on a wide variety of corporate projects?


Salary: £35,896 - £39,650 pa

Location: Based in Selkirk, Scottish Borders, potential for hybrid working

Contract: Full time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

Closing Date: Friday 1 November 2024


About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our exceptional team as our Business Support Officer, providing efficient and effective business support and corporate administration, working across varied activities and projects. We are looking for someone experienced in progressing projects with good attention to detail and excellent communication skills as this role requires them to engage with a wide range of people. You will support projects and work with colleagues to maximise the use of technology, continuously develop and instigate corporate improvements.


Day to Day

  • Corporate administration, including maintaining registers and schedules and the preparation of key strategic documents.
  • Lead on corporate event planning and management.
  • Office facilities management including procurement and contract management of outsourced services.
  • Coordinate information requests relating to GDPR, FOI and EIR, ensuring responses meet statutory requirements.
  • Project management, supporting on project work such as website development and office refurbishment.

Essential Skills

  • Experience of providing exceptional business administration in a fast-paced environment, working with senior leaders and governing bodies.
  • Ability to carry out research and write policies, reports and meeting minutes.
  • Experience of undertaking projects including event development and management.
  • Good understanding of information management including GDPR and FOI.
  • Strong IT skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer excellence.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a collaborative and flexible approach and the desire to improve the lives of our Tenants.
