Full Job Description

Reporting to the UK Chief Customer Officer (CCO), you'll play a key role in partnering the CCO and Senior Leadership Team of UK Customer. This role will assume responsibilities for assisting the CCO with a varied task list within a fast-paced and changing environment. The role holder will be responsible for maximising the effectiveness of the CCO including reviewing Board papers, budgets, risks, communications, business critical presentations, enabling team effectiveness and supporting UK Customer planning and strategy. About the role

  • Work alongside the CCO in the operational running of the Senior Leadership team (SLT).
  • Co-ordinating the activities of the SLT, connecting the different parts of Customer ensuring that sufficient time is spent on both day-to-day matters and forward-looking planning of team development, priorities and activities.
  • Customer strategy to internal and external (eg rating agencies) stakeholders in an engaging way and contributing to annual business planning cycle.
  • Effectively balancing a varied workload including detailed, discrete tasks and strategic work as required.
  • Operating with credibility and confidence when dealing with multiple Senior Stakeholder relationships at the highest level within Royal London.
  • Risk Management - Ensure CCO risks are appropriately managed within the overall risk framework across the Royal London Group and proactively managing regulatory accountabilities.

    Excellent people and workload management skills.
  • Proven track record of delivery - excellent planning, coordination and organisation skills.
  • Drafting Board papers, position papers, reports and other documents to final draft stage meeting quality standards.
  • Strong risk awareness including the ability to identify a range of risks (commercial, legal, financial, engagement impact etc.) and apply a risk-based approach to decision making including mitigating actions.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, including data and analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiating, influencing and leadership skills.
  • Organises, priorities and delegate work to efficiently accomplish tasks and meet objectives.
