Full Job Description

The Early Help and Preventative Services (EHPS) division provides targeted support and open access services to children and young people aged 0-25 as well as their families. Our vision is that every child and young person, from pre-birth to age 25, and their family, who needs Early Help services will receive them in a timely and responsive way, so that they are safeguarded, their educational, social and emotional needs are met and outcomes are good, and they are able to contribute positively to their communities now and in the future, including their active engagement in learning and employment.

You will be a motivated and organised person, looking for a development opportunity to join the Business Support Team based at Montague House, Tunbridge Wells, although there will be a requirement to cover other locations in the West Kent district when needed, some of which are in rural areas.

You will be responsible for providing full confidential administrative and financial support to assist in the smooth running of the service's Open Access provision.

Working closely with delivery managers you will be planning and coordinating meetings and bookings, acting confidently as the first point of contact for staff, visitors and partners and supporting the opening and closing of buildings as required. You will possess excellent IT skills and have the ability to meet deadlines and to maintain and process accurate and timely records., This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
