Full Job Description

Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key Scottish sites, which includes but is not limited to: - Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Preparing and designing of 2D and 3D engineering drawings using Autocad, Revit and Civil 3D. To provide accurate and quality information to inform key projects and influence operational decisions across the company's wind farm, hydro and solar and battery portfolio, prioritising requests, building relationships and effective communication with clients and stakeholders.

- Responsible for surveying SSE Renewables Dams under the Reservoir Act, this includes processing survey results to record potential movements with the ability to spot errors and trends.

- Producing 2D and 3D surveys to aid production of drawings and/or advise engineering teams within SSE Renewables of key features, movements or levels.

- Production of point cloud, topographical and laser surveys used for construction of new Wind Farms, Power Stations and Solar and Battery Sites.

- Responsible for the 3D model creation of Wind Farms, Solar and Battery Sites and Hydro infrastructure, with the intent to incorporate into existing systems such as BIM models, GIS and point cloud surveys to assist in the creation of a digital twin.

We are looking for someone who is qualified to a minimum of HNC level in an appropriate engineering discipline and ideally, but not essential, working towards professional accreditation or already has an ICE EngTech professional membership or similar.

- You'll be commercially focused with first class IT skills, and be proficient in 2D & 3D drafting using AutoCAD, Revit or equivalent drawing packages. An understanding of multi-disciplinary engineering drawing principles and engineering methods will also be necessary.

- Experience of standard surveying practices, using total stations, GNSS(GPS) and digital/optical levels would be an advantageous but it's not essential.

- Travel and overnight stays will be required as part of this role and we ask that you hold a full valid driving license. You should also be prepared to work in remote outdoor environments, where some working at height will be required.

Salary: £40,600 - £61,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
