Full Job Description

As CAD Engineer you will be responsible for all activities associated with the production of CAD Design in compliance with the Business Management Systems (BMS) and CDM regulations, assisting with the wider general Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (PMEICA) and Civils design production activities, providing technical support to the supply chain procurement activities and supporting site activities as required. You will also assist with the management of Consultants and Sub-contractors design production.

On behalf of the project team review the Employers Information Requirement (EIR) in conjunction with the project plan, business plan and procurement plan.

The CAD Engineer will participate in creating a safe working environment on assigned projects and act as the key contact for project BIM technical requirements; respond to the Clients technical requirements, develop the outline BEP into a Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) and lead project BIM workshops., With an impressive order book of over £3.2 billion we are one of the industry's leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK's most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals. You will have detailed knowledge of ISO19650, associated standards and can develop and apply BIM documentation and workflow process standards including CDE awareness using our preferred platform of Viewpoint for Projects (VfP) and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).

You will also have:

  • Necessary qualifications to be accepted to undertake a qualification in a recognised relevant Subject to HNC / Degree Level.

  • Gained working knowledge of aspects and law, including The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and CDM 2015.

  • Good knowledge of sub-contract processes - contract and commercial.

  • Appreciation and use knowledge of project management - programming, cash flow analysis, resource planning etc.

  • Having or working towards membership of relevant professional institution (e.g. IMechE).
