Canteen Assistant (Full Time) - Days / Afternoons

We are looking to recruit a Canteen Assistant who will be responsible for preparing hot & cold food at our distribution centre in Cumbernauld.

We offer a permanent full time position working any 5-days from 7 each week.

Pay, working hours & benefits:

We offer an hourly pay rate of £12.54 for Day Shifts and £13.60 for Afternoon Shifts and you will be guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours work per week. If you're looking to earn a bit more then overtime is regularly available.

Shift Patterns Include:

• Monday to Friday 5:00AM - 12:00PM or 12:00PM - 6:00PM


• Saturday to Sunday 7:30AM - 4:30PM


Duties:

• Food preparation tasks;


• Cooking and counter serving of meals;


• Receiving and moving of deliveries to kitchen storage;


• Replenishment of fridges


• Cleaning of kitchen utensils, appliances and surfaces.


About You:

This is a busy canteen, so the ability to work under pressure without supervision is essential. Candidates should also be able to communicate effectively and posses general numeracy and literacy skills.

Food hygiene is very important, so a basic food hygiene qualification would be desirable as well as an understanding of workplace health and safety.
