Full Job Description

Job Description

Residential Child Care Officers work a part of the wider team within Children’s Social work services.

Woodside is intended as a positive option for young people who for a variety of reasons are unable to live within a family setting.  We believe that regardless of their previous experience, all young people have the potential for growth and development.  The house primarily supports young people aged between 11-18 years.

The main function of the service is to provide high quality residential care for young people within this service and to work as part of a team to deliver services in line with the Council’s vision, values, policies, procedures, and priorities.  We therefore adopt a proactive/relational approach which attempts to engage with young people and their families positively, offering a range of social and therapeutic interventions to assist them in identifying opportunities and implementing solutions.
