Full Job Description

Here at The Scottish Wool Centre we have a fantastic opportunity for a Catering Manager at our store in Aberfoyle, this is an exciting opportunity for someone to work at a tourist destination site that offers both shopping and catering facilities for local customers as well as tourists travelling across Scotland.

In this role you will be working in a fast paced catering unit to ensure there is a safe and smoothly run operation delivering food and excellent service to our customers.

Main responsibilities:
- Day to day operations: Ensuring the catering unit is running smoothly and a high level of service and food is being provided at all times. Also collaborating with the retail store manager to make sure both areas are complimenting the overall store.
- Health & Safety: Staying up to date and implementing all health and safety regulations, as well as allergy information with a high level of presentation within a hygienic and safe environment.
- Sales & Targets: Ensure company targets and budgets are achieved by being fully aware of performance of products, promoting specials and minimizing waste. Also ensuring all stock levels are maintained any deliveries organised in advance.
- Staff Management & Training: Assist with training and development of any new Catering staff onsite and provide ongoing support. Daily/Weekly planning of work to be carried out and clear communication on goals across the team.

Experience in a large fast paced catering would be advantageous
- Previous experience in kitchen and front-of-house management
- Level 3 / Intermediate Food Hygiene qualification preferred but not essential
- An understanding of an EPOS till system would be beneficial
- An understanding of cooking skills & a high level of food presentation standards
- Strong leadership skills
