Full Job Description

In this catering post, you would be responsible for all activities in the kitchen and its surrounds including cooking, organisation and supervision of food service.

Supervising staff working in the kitchen.

You must be aware of HACCP procedures and ensure all paperwork including electronic returns are completed and submitted accordingly.

Understanding dietary and nutritional needs of the residents within the Care Home.

Duties may also include transporting and serving of meals, general kitchen and dining room duties (for example washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables), and cleaning of the kitchen and it's surround.

Training on in house systems will be provided. Working towards an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate will be essential once in post.

Must have catering experience or a qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent.

Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a team.

You will be required to attend Induction Training before starting in post.

We currently have a permanent vacancy to join our team at Napier House Care Home in Glenrothes working 32.5 hours per week on a 4 week rota working 2 weekends on and 2 weekends off.

You will earn a competitive salary of £24,890.91 - £27,087.17 (pro-rata) and have access to a range of benefits, including:

£13.26 per hour to start, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.

Pay is every 4 weeks.
