Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. 

This is a fulltime post of 37 hours per week, with a rotational shift pattern and 11.5 hour shifts.

You must be a Registered Nurse on the UK NMC.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the nursing team within the Medical Assessment unit at We are a busy, dynamic, assessment unit that embraces change and improvement. MAU is a 23 inpatient 6 assessment spaces hybrid assessment unit. Will embrace a multi-disciplinary approach to delivering the best care experience possible for patients, their families and carers. This post offers the opportunity for individuals to further advance their nursing skills and knowledge.We are looking for individuals who are passionate about the Care of patients in an acute setting, possess a positive attitude to change and are committed to the delivery of high quality person centred care.  Along with the senior nursing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective day-to-day leadership and management of the nursing team within the unit, acting as a clinical expert. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with evidence of continued professional development. Applicants should have proven ability in influencing change along with effective leadership and management skills.
