Full Job Description

As a registered Mental Health Nurse, on Part 3 of the NMC Register, you will provide a comprehensive Elderly Mental Health Liaison Service in General Hospitals for people with dementia of any age and people with other mental health problems over the age of 65 years.

You will be an integral member of the Elderly Mental Health Liaison Team providing specialist mental health assessment, expert nursing advice, information and guidance to General Hospital staff, patients and carers.

You should be motivated and keen to further develop knowledge and skills within a liaison setting. Mental Health assessment skills of the Older Adult are desirable.

The passion to work within the Elderly Mental Health setting is essential.

Excellent communication skills, well developed knowledge of assessment and appropriate interventions, ability to work on own and as part of a team are essential.

You will be educated to degree level or have a relevant post graduate qualification and experience relevant to job purpose.
