Emergency Theatre  - Scrub/Circulating Role

 Charge Nurse/Senior ODP- Band 6

Full Time Position

37 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the multidisciplinary team within the Emergency Operating Theatres in NHS Tayside. The successful applicant will be based at the above-mentioned site but may be required to vary their workplace within the area covered by NHS Tayside, as required. The post holder will work collaboratively to deliver patient centred care that is evidence based, clinically effective & safe.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic Emergency Team covering many specialities. The post holder will also be required to be a progressive individual committed to the development of yourself and your team.

Applicants must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to assess, plan and implement care for peri operative patients in a busy dynamic Emergency service. The applicant must also demonstrate a good knowledge base in a number of Surgical specialities.

We are committed to investing in the continuing professional development of our staff.

You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC register or equivalent (HPC ODP NVQ Level 3 / Diploma) and demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development relevant to previous experience.

This is a full-time post with a commitment to day/night rotation and on call if required by clinical area.
