Cheesemaker

Our Client, established in 1939 in the Bridge of Allan, an award winning, reputable family ran business providing dairy products throughout Scotland and England are recruiting.
Brightwork are recruiting for both nightshift machine operators and machine operators who can work on an early and back rotation in the Cowdenbeath site.

Nightshift Sunday 6pm-6am, Monday to Thursday 9.30pm-6am.
Rate of pay £12.70 - £14.70 plus weekly bonus.

Early shift Monday to Friday 6am - 2.30pm, Back shift 2pm - 10.30pm
Rate of pay £11.70 - £13.70 plus weekly bonus.

Your Time at Work
As a cheesemaker you will work with the production team to produce high quality cheese products in line with customer standards and requirements.

Key tasks will include, although are not limited to:
- The supervision and allocation of tasks for packers as well as regular communication with
process operators with regards to tank filling.
- The production of soft cheese in accordance with work instructions.
- Accurate and timely completion of production logs.
- The testing of products in accordance with work instructions.
- Manual cleaning and the completion of these logs.
- Timely reporting of all equipment faults to engineering staff.
- Continuous Improvement processes
- Ensuring any wastage is handled appropriately and company procedures are adhered to.
- Maintaining product quality and hygiene standards.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have experience in food processing
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to operate machinery
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Good math skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Good time management skills
- Good communication skills
- Enjoy practical and manual activities
- High standard of personal hygiene
- Certified hygiene level 1 or 2 would be advantageous but not essential
- A degree of flexibility to cover over time when business needs require
