Full Job Description

We are seeking an inspirational and creative Chef de Partie to collaborate with Sous Chef at The Stable Bar & Restaurant located next to our 5 star quality assured Mortonhall caravan and camping park in Edinburgh. Inside the archway at the Mortonhall Stable Courtyard you will find The Stable Bar & Restaurant which offers a wonderful family dining experience coupled with a range of wines, spirits and beers of which the operators show great pride. The sheltered courtyard provides a lovely place to sit in the summer and equally as enjoyable is a drink by the roaring fire in the winter. There is outside seating in the stable courtyard itself. Indoors there are plenty of tables in the main bar area adjacent to a log burner that roars on colder days. Also available is the Saddle Room which can accommodate larger, and on occasion, private parties.

Excellent customer service skills, passion for presenting new ideas and enthusiasm to build upon the current success of the operation are highly valued attributes. Reporting directly to the Head Chef, applicants will be able to demonstrate a successful record of achievement and will possess experience of commercial catering kitchen operations, including dish preparations, coupled with an ability to give confidence to our restaurant team and in taking pride serving up a fantastic customer experience that will keep customers returning. Working to health & safety systems and driving food standards are all prerequisites of the role as well as working with the Bar & Restaurant management and service team. Essential Skills

  • Demonstrable Food production using local produce
