Childare Worker

Southside Daycare pre5 children’s nursery, are looking for a passionate Early Years Practitioner to join their team. This nursery offers three large, spacious, and bright separate playrooms, as well as our large and natural outdoor space. 

Your role as a Qualified Early Years Practitioner will include:

• To be a key person and update children’s learning journals weekly along with planning, observations, and relevant next steps.
• To keep an accurate record of achievement file for our children. Identifying children's individual needs, abilities and progress, using these effectively for future planning.
• To plan and organise activities and experiences which will support and extend children’s learning in line with Pre-birth to Three Curriculum, Curriculum for Excellence and NLC expectations.
• To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of child development and the early years sector enabling the nursery to maintain up to date practices for our children and their families.
• Work alongside the management team and staff team to ensure that the nursery’s philosophy is fulfilled.
• To follow all policies, procedures, risk assessments and Child Protection Policies, Health and Safety guidelines written within the nursery. And ensure up to date practices from CIS, HMIE and Glasgow City Council are in place.
