Children & Young Peoples Bladder & Bowel Specialist Nurse, Band 7

18.5 Hrs - Fixed term/Secondment for 1 year

                                                                                      

An opportunity has arisen for a Children & Young Peoples Bladder & Bowel Specialist.  The post holder will be expected to contribute to the leadership of the Tayside team but be primarily responsible for operational line management, development and support service

The post holder must be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills and professional knowledge commensurate with this role. This includes having an understanding of caseload management and experience of leading and managing a team of staff.  The Ability to appropriately delegate work to team members and supervise staff is vital. The post holder will be familiar with audit for improvement and staff and service development. The post holder will be a key member of the leadership team and is required to work collaboratively and effectively with peers and senior management across the Children & Young Peoples Service in Tayside providing cover (either clinical or managerial) where needed during periods of leave and workload pressures.

The post will be based in Tayside Childrens Hospital, Ninewells Hospital Dundee but ability to travel/work across Tayside and the surrounding area is essential.

You must be a registered as Childrens Nurse on the UK NMC Register.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
