CHLH / 2411 / 27 Swim Instructor (50 weeks per year)

1. Support High Life Highland's swim programme by delivering swimming lessons
according to the programme and timetable, ensuring classes commence and
finish at the designated time.

2. Instruct and guide customers in accordance with National Governing Body
guidelines of good practice.

3. Ensure the efficient and effective operation of sessions and set up and take down
equipment where appropriate.

4. Establish and maintain excellent relationships with customers and potential
customers.

5. Carry out tasks associated with the position, including the completion of class
registers, following lesson plans, schemes of work, the completion of ongoing
class evaluations and continuous assessment of customers during the lesson, as
required.

6. Contribute to programme development through knowledge of customer needs.

7. Assist members of the public in their use of the facilities, encouraging maximum
usage.

8. Comply with High Life Highland's Code of Conduct and Role Model Behaviours at
all times.

9. Ensure all concerns of a child safeguarding nature are referred in a timely and
appropriate manner, in accordance with High Life Highland's policy.
