Full Job Description
1. Actively promote a positive and collaborative workplace culture that supports
the Charity's purpose of Making Life Better and i-care values to increase
morale, productivity and performance.
2. Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all areas within the facility by
performing regular safety and cleanliness checks, taking action where
required.
3. To be conversant with the role and responsibilities of the post and act in
accordance with the facility operating procedures and health and safety policy.
4. Assist in the practical delivery of the facility's activity programme; including
equipment set up/takedown and leading sessions.
5. Deliver gym inductions as required.
6. Maintain physical fitness, attendance at training and skills competency as
required by industry guidelines and meet any additional standards set by High
Life Highland.
7. Ensure safe and acceptable user behaviour.
8. Provide first aid treatment if qualified and trained to do so.
9. Ensure that the facility and items of fixed and portable equipment are
maintained to a high standard of safety and cleanliness.
10. Be friendly and helpful to users and uphold a high standard of customer care.
11. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policy.
12. Cover reception duties as required.
13. Work as part of a team and contribute to the development and promotion of the
centre.
14. Be conversant with the High Life membership scheme and actively promote
the package benefits.
15. Attend training as required and achieve and maintain the relevant
qualifications.
16. Bring to the attention of the manager any improvements that may increase the
effectiveness and efficiency of the facility.
17. Pursue continuous professional development and contribute to the continuous
improvement of Aviemore Community Centre and High Life Highland as a
whole.
18. Attend and undertake any training online or in person.
19. Aim to reduce wastage and uphold our environmental values of being as
sustainable as possible in all tasks.
20. Assist and support other areas of High Life Highland with particular projects,
training or in the event of holidays or sickness working cross-functionally
across the Aviemore Community team.
21. Work on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
ensuring you are up to date with your rostered shifts and give advance notice
of any leave requests for consideration.
22. Undertake all tasks in accordance with High Life Highland policies and
procedures, including General Data Protection Regulations, health and safety
procedures, relevant checks, reporting any concerns to management to ensure
corrective action is taken.
