This post attracts a welcome payment of 5% of the starting salary for the grade to enable individuals to join our permanent workforce. This is payable upon successful completion of your probationary period and is subject to eligibility criteria.
Join Our Team as a Civil Enforcement Officer
As a Civil Enforcement Officer (CEO), you'll be the friendly, uniformed face of the council, helping visitors and residents with parking queries and directions, while also playing a key role in reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and has the commitment, passion, and drive to help an enthusiastic team deliver a high-quality service.
What You'll Do:
Patrol streets to enforce parking rules
Advise the public on parking queries
Issue penalty notices for parking violations
Inspect and report on Pay and Display machines
Record information using handheld devices and radios
Friendly, polite, and customer-focused
Physically fit (able to walk up to 10 miles per day)
Comfortable using technology (handheld devices, radios, cameras)
Able to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally, Disability Confident
